The scene was filmed at 5255 Heather Street, originally built as an office for the BC Workers Compensation Board, was transferred to the RCMP in the 1970s to join the growing headquarters of RCMP "E" Division. The building became vacant after the RCMP moved to a new headquarters in Surrey, completed in late 2012. In 2014, the building was transferred to the Provincial Health Services Authority, which leased it for film production.

The scene was filmed at A prominent alley near Victory Square, named after The Province newspaper built a skybridge connecting the Egett Building to the Carter Cotton Building in 1924.
