The scene was filmed at This large building, occupying an entire block in downtown Vancouver, was the main sorting facility of Canada Post from 1958 until it was sold in 2013 when a new facility opened near the airport. Originally, there was a kilometer-long underground tunnel leading to the waterfront so that mail could be delivered directly from ships to the facility. After the office closed, it became very popular with filmmakers, and some even used it as a filming location.

Scene where Miriam Bancroft leads Kovacs into the mansion and shows him the Song Spire Tree she brought in episode 1x01 "Out of the Past". Kovacs attends a party as a guest, and Elliot poses as a waiter. Ortega spots Kovacs in the crowd and goes to talk to the fighters in episode 1x03 "In a Lonely Place".
In Reality



The scene was filmed at An art deco skyscraper built in 1930, which at the time of opening was the tallest building in the British Empire. The building is a Vancouver heritage site.
Minaty Bay

Scene where Kovacs remembers playing with his sister on the shore when they were both young, in episode 1x01 "Out of the Past". Quell tells Takeshi about her connection to the stacks, and they have sex in episode 1x07 "Nora Inu".

The scene was filmed at This private bay, located south of Britannia Beach, is surrounded by imposing mountains and gives an impression of incredible remoteness, yet is easily accessible via the Sea to Sky Highway.
Steel Plant

Scene where Mr. Leung kills Kristen's entire family on Rei's orders in episode 1x09 "Rage in Heaven". Mr. Leung tortures Ortega by repeatedly showing her the murder of her family in episode 1x10 "The Killers".

The scene was filmed at A photo and event space east of Gastown, located in the last remnants of an old ironworks built in the 1880s.

The scene was filmed at The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia is a tourist attraction as well as a research and teaching museum. The collection focuses on works by the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest. The building was constructed in 1976 by architect Arthur Erickson in the "post and beam" architectural style characteristic of the coastal First Nations people.

The scene was filmed at The recently opened West Building of the Vancouver Convention Centre has become popular with filmmakers over the past five years. The building features a multi-story lobby connecting the underground part of West Waterfront Road with the convention centre and Canada Place.

Scene where Ortega makes a hard landing in the garden, and Kovacs learns that she is a police officer, while she learns that he is an envoy, in episode 1x01 "Out of the Past". Kovacs arrives at the party with a pink backpack, and after the party, he reunites with Elliot and Ortega in episode 1x03 "In a Lonely Place".

The scene was filmed at A small garden located in the northern part of the UBC campus, offering amazing views of the water and mountains.
Britannia Mine Museum

Scene where Takeshi leads a CTAC assault team on his home planet but turns away from them after meeting his sister in episode 1x07 "Nora Inu".

The scene was filmed at The Britannia Mine Museum, built in the former copper mine's concentrator building, is a National Historic Site that introduces visitors to the mining industry of British Columbia. The concentrator operated for seventy years starting in 1904, and Mill No. 3 was built in 1923. In fact, no mining took place in these tunnels, as they were used to transport ore to Howe Sound.
Crease Clinic (Riverview Hospital)

Scene where In episode 1x01 "Out of the Past", Kovacs is briefed along with other awakened prisoners, then led to meet the prison warden.

The scene was filmed at This building opened in 1934 as a treatment center for World War I veterans. It included a main building and a separate dining block for veterans. The main building was expanded in 1945 and reopened in 1949 as the Crease Clinic of Psychological Medicine, a center for short-term psychological treatment. The building is now used almost exclusively for film shoots.
BC Place Stadium
In the Movie
Scene where Mary Lou Henchy pursues Rei on the roof and decides to jump to avoid being captured in episode 1x09 "Rage in Heaven".

The scene was filmed at A large stadium in downtown Vancouver, BC Place, originally opened in 1983 with an inflatable roof. After the roof was torn and deflated in 2007, the stadium was renovated and a retractable roof was installed (these tall columns above the building support the new roof).
Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (UBC)

The scene was filmed at The Chan Centre is a magnificent concert venue located on the campus of the University of British Columbia. The main concert hall, Chan Shun Concert Hall, features a distinctive floating canopy and beautiful teak wood walls. The smaller Telus Studio Theatre has three-tiered seating that can be moved into various configurations. The building also houses a small cinema, the Royal Bank Cinema, a beautiful floating foyer, and various versatile backstage spaces.
