The scene was filmed at the 51-story skyscraper, which is the first building in a new three-tower office complex completed in 2009. Initially, the site was planned for development in the 1990s, but the project stalled during the economic downturn and was eventually halted in 1993, when only the underground parking and a six-story elevator shaft were completed. When the site was redeveloped, the elevator shaft was dismantled, but the parking remained from the original project.

The scene was filmed at the Four Seasons Centre, a 2,071-seat theatre built in 2006 to a modernist design by Diamond and Schmitt Architects. The project was initially proposed in 1984, but funding issues delayed construction until 2002. The interior of the hall is a five-tiered auditorium with state-of-the-art acoustic engineering, including extensive rubber isolation of the entire structure to reduce noise from the streets and subway.
