In Reality

The scene was filmed At the courthouse, originally known as the New York County Courthouse, which houses the civil and appellate divisions of the New York State Supreme Court. The courthouse was built from 1913 to 1927 with a delay due to World War I and replaced the Tweed Courthouse to the west. The building was designed by Guy Lowell in the Roman Classical style for a hefty sum of $30 million. At the center of the courthouse is a 75-foot-high rotunda with a fresco titled "Law Through the Ages," created by Attilio Pusterla as part of the Works Project Administration.

Thomas Paine Park / Foley Square

Scene where Bull exits the subway with Marissa, and they comment on the law firm offices they are heading to in episode 1x02 "The Woman in 8D". The scene was filmed Thomas Paine Park and the adjacent Foley Square are located in the center of Manhattan's Civic Center, opposite the Supreme Court and several other court and federal buildings. The park was named after founding father Thomas Paine, and the square after local civic leader and saloon owner "Big Tom" Foley. The site has been common land since 1811 when the Collect Pond that previously occupied the site was filled in, and the park and square were officially combined in 2005.

4 Times Square

Scene where Bull and Benny go to JP Nunnelly's office to hear about the deal she managed to get for him in episode 1x21 "How to Dodge a Bullet". Bull goes to JP's office to meet with the CEO of Heptex in episode 1x22 "Dirty Little Secrets".

The scene was filmed A 52-story office building built in 1999 and formerly known as the Condé Nast Building. Although the building itself is not among the city's tallest, a 300-foot antenna mast for four FM radio stations and three television stations is mounted on its roof. Including the mast height, the building becomes the 5th tallest in the city. The building was designed with two different facades, one fitting into the extravagance of Times Square and the other into the more subdued buildings of the adjacent business district.

2 Court Square

Scene where Danny meets with an embassy employee to find out what can be done to return a child in episode 2x04 "The Illusion of Control".

The scene was filmed Built in 2012 by Citigroup as an addition to its office tower across the street, 2 Court Square is a 14-story LEED Gold office building in Long Island City. Six floors of the building house the CUNY School of Law. The planned expansion of the building, Court Square City View Tower, is an elegant 66-story condominium tower that will occupy the remainder of the block. Upon completion, the new tower will become the tallest building in Queens.

Bronx County Courthouse

In the Movie

Scene where Captain Matison appears in court for his role in the plane crash in episode 1x02 "The Woman in 8D". Bull and Liberty arrive for jury selection, but Bull finds himself cut off from his team when the judge bans phones in the courtroom in episode 1x06 "Bedside Manner".

The scene was filmed The Mario Merola Building is a 12-story Art Deco building built in 1934. In addition to serving as a courthouse, the building also houses all municipal offices of the borough, as the Bronx Borough Hall was demolished in 1969.

Bethesda Terrace (Central Park)

The scene was filmed Located at the end of The Mall and next to the lake, Bethesda Terrace is a landmark of Central Park. Built during the Civil War, the terrace is adorned with intricate ceramic tiles and the "Angel of the Waters" fountain, designed by prominent American sculptor Emma Stebbins.

Washington Square Park

The scene was filmed Washington Square is a famous Greenwich Village park, originally created in 1826 as a military parade ground for Washington. In 1850, the site was turned into a park, and in 1889, an arch was built in honor of the centennial of George Washington's inauguration, designed in the style of the Arc de Triomphe. The fountain in the center of the park was built in 1852 and underwent a major renovation in 1934.

Brooklyn Bridge

Scene where In episode 2x04 "The Illusion of Control", Bull sees a news report about the case in a taxi on the way to Brooklyn.

In Reality

The scene was filmed The Brooklyn Bridge, which opened in 1883 as the New York and Brooklyn Bridge after fourteen years of construction. The bridge was the world's first steel-wire suspension bridge and was designed by John Augustus Roebling.

InterContinental New York Barclay

The scene was filmed The Barclay Hotel is a 14-story luxury hotel built in 1926 for the Vanderbilt family by the New York Central Railroad on land recently vacated after the Grand Central Terminal tracks were moved underground. In 1978, the hotel was sold to Loews Hotels after the previous owners went bankrupt and underwent a major renovation. On the ground floor of the hotel is the flagship store of perfumer Caswell-Massey, which has occupied the space since the hotel opened.

The Mall (Central Park)

Scene where Emily Connor spends a wonderful day with Adam Harris in the video she posted on Facebook in episode 2x02 "Already Gone".

In Reality

The scene was filmed The Mall, running from the flower bed at Center Drive in the south to Bethesda Terrace in the north, is the only straight path in the entire park. The path passes by a row of statues of famous writers, known as the Literary Walk, and past the Naumburg Bandshell. The path and the surrounding American elms were built in 1857 and designed as part of the larger park by landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.

Bank of America Tower

The scene was filmed Located at One Bryant Park, the Bank of America Tower opened in 2009 and became the fourth tallest building in New York (just below the Empire State Building). Designed to be incredibly environmentally friendly, the building became the first skyscraper to receive a LEED Platinum certification and includes two honeybee hives.

The scene was filmed Piers 59-61 were built in the early 1900s as luxurious passenger terminals, designed by the same firm that created Grand Central Terminal. Many famous ships docked at these piers, including the Lusitania and the Carpathia, and Pier 59 was the original destination of the Titanic. Currently, the three piers house the Chelsea Piers sports and entertainment complex, which includes a driving range, batting cages, dance and gymnastics studios, two ice rinks, extensive event space, and television production studios.

The scene was filmed Empire Fulton Ferry is a small park located on the waterfront east of the Brooklyn Bridge. Originally a state park on its own, it was incorporated into the existing Brooklyn Bridge Park to the west in 2010.

The scene was filmed The David N. Dinkins Municipal Building is a 40-story government tower opened in 1914, designed by William M. Kendall. The building was designed in a mix of architectural styles, topped with a golden statue known as Civic Fame, houses over 2,000 employees, and is the first building in Manhattan to include a subway station in its structure.
