The scene was filmed Allan Gardens began its life as gardens and a conservatory created by the Toronto Horticultural Society in 1860 and fully transferred to the city in 1888. The park contains a conservatory known as the Palm House, consisting of six greenhouses built in 1910 after the old horticultural pavilion was destroyed by fire.
