The scene was filmed The structure was originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. It was rebuilt in 1965. The most notable building of the complex is the open rotunda. Its height is 162 feet (49 m). On the floor under the dome is a plaque with the inscription Lucasfilm Foundation, the charitable foundation of the creator of "Star Wars" George Lucas. The Palace of Fine Arts is just an 11-minute walk from the Lucasfilm offices in San Francisco. "Star Wars" fans will not want to miss the Yoda fountain, which is open to the public.
