The scene was filmed "Instead of building Faraway Downs on location, it was assembled in Sydney, then transported to Western Australia on semi-trailers, where it was erected by a crew of forty workers. During filming, rare rains fell in the area. This caused severe flooding, and the actors had to abandon outdoor filming and flee to Sydney, where they worked on interior scenes that were shot on a set."
