The scene was filmed at the Old Post Office, listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Old Post Office and Clock Tower and located at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., was begun in 1892, completed in 1899, and is a contributing property to the Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site. It served as the city's main post office until 1914, when World War I began. In 2013, the U.S. General Services Administration leased the building to a consortium associated with Donald Trump. He turned the building into the luxury Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., which opened in September 2016 but closed six years later. It reopened as the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC on June 1, 2022.
