The scene was filmed at the National Palace - a building in Santo Domingo that houses the offices of the President and Vice President of the Dominican Republic. It was designed by Italian architect Guido D'Alessandro. Construction began on February 27, 1944. It was officially opened on August 16, 1947. In the Hall of the Caryatids, there are 44 sculptures of women in drapery. They rise like columns in a hall with mirrors and chandeliers. The palace is not open regularly, but there is a one-hour tour that requires a reservation.
