The scene was filmed at Khao Phing Kan, a pair of islands in Thailand, in Phang Nga Bay northeast of Phuket. About 40 meters (130 feet) from its shores is the islet Ko Tapu, 20 meters (66 feet) high. The island is part of Ao Phang Nga National Park.
