The scene was filmed In May 2003, "Fury Road" got the green light to start filming in the Australian desert, but the location was ruined by rains. Among other potential filming locations were the Atacama Desert in Chile, Chott el Djerid in Tunisia, and Azerbaijan. But the team decided to move to Namibia.
