The scene was filmed On the green western outskirts of Spandau, the last Prussian artillery fort, built in the 1880s, is hidden: Fort Hahneberg. The hexagonal fortification was sunk into the hill known as Hahneberg, so that even from close range it is almost impossible to detect. However, Fort Hahneberg was never used for military maneuvers: rapid progress in the development of artillery shells outpaced the fort's design and made it useless even before construction was completed. Therefore, the fort was used for other, very interesting purposes. Once it housed the central archive of military medicine, and before World War II, gliders were built there.
