It is located approximately 24 miles from Honolulu and 32 miles from Haleiwa. The ranch consists of 3 valleys: Kaʻaʻawa Valley, Kualoa Valley, and Hakipuʻu Valley. The ranch is located on Hawaii State Highway 83 between Kaʻaʻawa and Waikane. The main street address is 49-560 Kamehameha Highway, Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi 96744. Kualoa is open for tours. The scene was filmed at Moliʻi Gardens - a beautiful two-tiered garden that borders our 800-year-old Hawaiian fishpond, listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1973. The site consists of two lawns and an open pavilion located on the upper lawn. Also included is the "Dupree Cottage," a set from the film "You, Me and Dupree." The sets were also used in the film "Soul Surfer," and the dock is known for having housed a submarine in the series "LOST."

Waterfall Jump

Scene where Gray and Zach escape from the Indominus Rex by jumping off a waterfall. Later, Owen realizes the boys must have jumped.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at Wailua Falls - a 173-foot waterfall located near Lihue. In ancient times, Hawaiian men would jump from the top of the waterfall to prove their manhood. Some people still jump from the top of the waterfall today, although it is dangerous and illegal.
