Trying to keep up with the events of my life and sharing impressions of the musical "Perfume" at the LDM Theater. 🎭

First, I want to warn fans of this genre: "Perfume" is not a musical. Songs are performed only a couple of times, and they are short. But what wonderful acting! The actor playing Jean-Baptiste Grenouille narrates the plot in monologue and deftly transforms into other characters of the novel. This is both a plus and a minus of the play. Essentially, there is only one actor here. Besides him, two silent gymnasts periodically appear on stage, accompanying Grenouille's monologues with eccentric dances. Respect to the actor for his endurance and truly good performance; Igor Krol gave it his all. But if you expect a show from the play, there won't be one 😃
We missed the colorfulness that LDM is famous for in "Perfume." However, I was pleased with the strict adherence to the chronology of the novel's events and, I repeat, the brilliant acting.

My opinion:
Is it worth going to see "Perfume"? — Yes.
Should you expect something grand from "Perfume"? — No. But is that necessary?

P.S. There are several versions of "Perfume" at LDM. Our cast: Igor Krol, Evgeny and Daria Chesnokov. There is also a version with Andrey Noskov in the lead role and apparently someone else. They say that in other versions everything is completely different!
