The scene was filmed at "Seven Sisters" - a series of chalk cliffs on the English Channel coast. They are part of the South Downs in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. They are located within the South Downs National Park. They are the remains of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea.

The scene was filmed at Hatfield House is a country house set in a large park. It was built in 1611 by Robert Cecil, first Earl of Salisbury and Chief Minister to King James I, and has been the home of the Cecil family ever since. The house, currently occupied by Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 7th Marquess of Salisbury, is open to the public.
