Although almost the entire plot of the film revolves around a story unfolding in one hotel room, it was filmed in several locations. It was not possible to find a lobby that was both luxurious and interestingly frightening enough, which would also be in a large New York hotel that is gloomy and monumental from the outside. Therefore, several shooting points were used, and additional sets had to be built to imitate the hotel room, as they had to be burned, flooded, and destroyed, so they did not do this in a real room.
