The scene was filmed at Queenstown Hill, a small mountain 907 meters (2,976 ft) high near Queenstown. It is also known by its Māori name Te Tapu-nui, meaning "mountain of strong sacredness." The film does not show the town of Queenstown or Lake Wakatipu, but they are definitely there.

St. Bathans - Home Hills Run Road

The scene was filmed at The former gold and coal mining town of St. Bathans lies deep in the heart of Maniototo in New Zealand's Otago region. The settlement was the center of the "Otago gold rush," but coal mining has long ceased, and it is now a quiet holiday spot. In January 2020, they built sets on a site near the waterfall dam and Hills Creek, just down the road from St. Bathans and over the hill from Ranfurly.

Dunedin Railway Station

The scene was filmed at Dunedin Railway Station in Dunedin on New Zealand's South Island, designed by George Troup, is the city's fourth station. It earned the nickname "Gingerbread George" from its architect. On March 5, 2020, the platform and facade of the station were used for filming, and the US flag was raised on them.
