The scene was filmed at Texas Hollywood/Fort Bravo - a Western-themed amusement park in Spain. Built in the early 1970s, it is located near the town of Tabernas. Around 1977, stuntman Rafa Molina bought the set for $6,000 to improve his job opportunities if the set were used for filming. In the early 1980s, he began charging visitors for a tour of the film set. Later, mock shootouts and bar fights were added, and one of the buildings was converted into a full-fledged saloon for selling beer. Now the place is known as Fort Bravo.
