The film "Tremors" was filmed in California, USA, in the far west of the state near the small town of Alabama Hills. Although according to the plot, the events take place not here, but a little further west - in the state of Nevada, near the fictional town of Bixby.

The scene where Valentine, Earl, and Rhonda try to escape from the sand worm by climbing onto a giant boulder. But once on it, they realize they are trapped and have nowhere else to run. However, they devise a plan where one will distract the worm while the others run for weapons.

In reality

The scene was filmed in the California desert, closer to the mountain range in the east of the state. This place is called the Alabama Hills and is notable for its rocky mountains, desert, and huge boulders.
