The scene was filmed at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a public park in northern Queens, New York. It is also known simply as Flushing Meadows. The park was created as the site of the 1939 New York World's Fair and also hosted the 1964 New York World's Fair. After the 1964 fair, the park fell into decline. It is here that the observation towers of the New York State Pavilion are located, which played a role in the film "Men in Black."
