The scene was filmed at St. Hanshaugen, one of Oslo's largest parks, located north of the city center. This popular recreational area is great for walks, and from the top of the hill there is a wonderful view of Oslo. St. Hanshaugen was originally a hill of bare rocks. In the 1840s, the name St. Hanshaugen ("Midsummer Hill") appeared, as the hill was a popular place for celebrating Midsummer. In 1936, an open-air café was built on Festplassen, the square at the top of the hill, which is still a popular summer café today.
