The scene was filmed In the background, the Municipal House is visible - a building that houses Smetana Hall, a famous concert venue in Prague. Previously, on the site of the Municipal House stood the Royal Court Palace. From 1383 to 1485, the King of Bohemia lived there. After 1485, it was abandoned. It was demolished at the beginning of the 20th century. Construction of the current building began in 1905. It was opened in 1912. The building was designed by Oswald Polívka and Antonín Balšánek. The Municipal House hosted the ceremony proclaiming the independence of Czechoslovakia in 1918.
