The scene was filmed at Red Square - the most important city square in Moscow, Russia. It separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and now the official residence of the President of Russia, from the historic merchant quarter known as Kitay-gorod. The name Red Square is not related to the color of the bricks with which the square is paved, nor to the association between the color red and communism. Rather, the name originated from the Russian word "krasnaya", which means both red and beautiful.
