In Reality

The scene was filmed at The estate was built in 1933. The house in Waimanalo is designed in European style by Louis Davis, an architect from Honolulu who also designed McKinley High School. The estate also includes a boathouse, tennis courts, a large garage with workshop, and a separate bathhouse.
