The scene was filmed at Eilean Donan Castle, a thirteenth-century castle located 0.8 km from Dornie, on an island in Loch Duich in the Scottish Highlands region. At the beginning of the eighteenth century, the castle was blown up. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Eilean Donan Castle was carefully restored and opened to visitors.
