The scene was filmed entirely in New York, especially in Newburgh. Although the action takes place in Mormon County, Idaho, the creators decided to film the movie in New York, probably because most of its action takes place within the four walls of Charlie's apartment. The apartment was built on the stage of Umbra Sound Stages at 9 Scobie Drive, with most of the filming taking place on Stage 4, an 18,000 square foot sound stage.
