The series was filmed in several regions of Russia, and then heavily processed with computer graphics, by the way, over 100 specialists from several studios worked on it. The cybervillage itself, as in the original YouTube video, was filmed in the village of Kisva, Ryazan Oblast, the deserts of Mars were filmed in the village of Barkhany, Astrakhan Oblast, and Pluto was filmed in Kamchatka.

In reality

The scene was filmed in the village of Barkhany, Astrakhan Oblast. In this place there are dying villages where most of the several dozen houses are abandoned and almost completely covered with sand, whose color resembles Martian sand. It's hard to build such a thing on purpose, but the creators of the series were lucky and found locations with a perfectly suitable exterior of a Russian village.

In reality

The scene was filmed in the village of Klyuchi in Kamchatka Krai, Ust-Kamchatsky District. The creators of the series were very lucky: shortly before filming began, a volcano erupted nearby and covered the entire village with ash, adding color and black snow to the ruined village picture.

Temple in Tserersk

The scene was filmed in the village of Vyatskoye, Yaroslavl Oblast. The village is notable for having well-preserved ancient buildings, and the large temple was recently restored.
