The series was filmed in two cities: New York, USA, where all studio filming took place with specially built sets in pavilions, and exterior filming took place in Budapest, Hungary.

The scene was filmed in the monumental but unfortunately currently abandoned palace of the Hungarian Stock Exchange, located on Freedom Square. This is a popular filming location in Hungary.

Cormac's Office

Scene where Winston is brought in handcuffs to Cormac O'Connor's office. The latter does not yet suspect that this whole situation is staged to kill him.

In Reality

The scene was filmed in the Wenckheim Palace, Budapest, where the Szabó Ervin Library is now located. This stunning Neo-Baroque mansion, built between 1887 and 1889, is situated in the very center of Budapest. The room where the office was filmed is decorated with magnificent wooden panels and has a steep balcony. The restaurant in London was also filmed in one of the palace's luxurious rooms.

Thermal Baths

The scene was filmed in one of the halls of the Gellért Thermal Baths. These historic baths in Budapest are known for their magnificent Art Nouveau design and stunning interiors decorated with mosaics.
