The series mainly takes place either in the skies over Europe or at an airfield in Norfolk, but the actual filming locations are somewhat broader and cover many cities in the UK, such as Hemel Hempstead in Bree, the village of Bledlow in Buckinghamshire, and Oxford.

In reality

The scene was filmed at Dalton Barracks - the location of the 4th Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps. It was on the territory of this military base that all the necessary sets for filming the airfield were built, such as the flight control center. The location was chosen because there are already some structures there, including an airstrip that is not used by the military. For filming, two full-scale replicas of the B-17 aircraft were delivered to the site. They were lifted into the air by a crane to film takeoff and landing scenes.
