The series was filmed in a district of South-East London, mainly in one location near a community centre, but some episodes were also filmed in other parts of London.

In the show

The scene where a group of teenage offenders sentenced to community service meet in front of the community centre. The building appears in the first episode of the first season and will be the main filming location throughout all 5 seasons.

The scene was filmed at a real community centre located in the eastern part of London. It is practically on the outskirts of the city and is ideal for the series, as this remote area is not yet positioned as a ghetto, but is no longer prosperous, clean, and respectable. The building itself is the same concrete and unremarkable as anywhere else. It provides the perfect picture for the series.
