Scene where A riot breaks out in prison and inmates, led by "Uncle," take guards hostage. Major Igor Grom and his partner Dima Dubin go to negotiate and offer the rioters to surrender, but things don't go as planned and they have to fight off a large number of inmates in the prison.

In Reality

The scene was filmed in the famous Kresty prison; in the frame we see both the hall and the corridors with cells. The prison is no longer operational.

Exit from the Police Station

In the Movie

Scene where After successfully suppressing the riot, Grom becomes a city hero; at the exit of the police station, a crowd of journalists meets him to get a comment. But the officer, after giving two one-word answers, passes the word to his partner and escapes from the crowd.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the exit of the Marble Palace; in the frame you can see the monument to Emperor Alexander III, but the fences were installed specifically for filming.

Palace Square

In the Movie

Scene where Igor receives his first assignment from the enemy: "Bomb in a place of seven letters." He is on Palace Square and decides it's the Hermitage, but he is wrong and a terrorist attack occurs, during which the Alexander Column is blown up and falls onto a crowd of people.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on Palace Square in front of the Winter Palace; the filming took place in a crowd of people, showing both the Winter Palace and the Alexander Column.

Bridge

In the Movie

Scene where Igor Grom and his boss Fyodor Prokopenko, after a bar, walk through the empty city and eat frozen dumplings. On the bridge, Fyodor orders Grom to lie down on the asphalt and lies down next to him, starting a conversation about Grom's father.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on Lomonosov Bridge, which spans the Fontanka River. The bridge was chosen for its recognizable appearance and location. Given that the celebration took place near the station in the center, they could well have come to the bridge in the morning after the bar.
