The film was entirely shot at Sun Center Studios, located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, USA. The city sets, the bunker, and everything we see in the film were built there. The views of the destroyed world were created using computer graphics, but of course inspired by real locations to emphasize the setting and the reality of the planet's destruction.

The scene where Zora and Maya take shelter when strangers come demanding they hand over the oxygen generator.

In reality

The scene was shot all scenes of the shelter and surrounding locations were filmed at Sun Center Studios in Philadelphia. All necessary sets were built there. Studio filming was chosen over location shooting because the film uses very small spaces that are easy to build in a pavilion, and also because of the specific yellow lighting.
