A huge number of historical locations were used for the series, as it needed to show many factions and guilds, so the creators wanted to emphasize this with different appearances of castles, towers, and rooms. Therefore, many historical sites were used in St. Petersburg, Pskov, Ivangorod, Dagestan, and even Uzbekistan.
