The film was entirely shot in Tula - this matched the storyline, which required a small town with a dormitory housing working-class families, quite poor, as well as close contact with the authorities. Tula had all the necessary locations for filming.

The scene where Dmitry discovers that the dormitory where the leak occurred is not just in disrepair, but is literally about to collapse in the coming days. He decides to test his hypothesis and measures the building's deviation, finding that it is already severely tilted.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the dormitory building of the Demidov Machine-Building College. The filming was mostly exterior, as the building is not in the condition shown in the film. Therefore, part of the apartment scenes were shot in a studio.
