The filming of the movie took place in Moscow, Karelia, the Moscow region, Taganrog, Vsevolozhsk, and Vladimir. Airports were used in Vladimir and Taganrog. In Karelia, an old Russian village was filmed. For the firefighting scenes in a huge pavilion, more than 60 trees were planted, and the actors actually filmed in real fire.

Jump from the airplane cabin

In the movie

The scene where six rescue heroes fly on a plane to the fire source to stop the fire and save a village in Karelia. They approach the jump site. Roman (Ivan Yankovsky) is on his first mission and is afraid to jump. Team commander Alexey (Konstantin Khabensky) recommends he stay on board and fly back to base.

In reality

The scene was filmed at the Semyazino airport in Vladimir. To realistically depict the firefighting process, the film crew involved real parachute firefighters. The rescuers performed a series of unique jumps with special high-precision parachutes.

Training center at the airbase

In the movie

The scene where a briefing of a group of rescue recruits is held in the airbase hangar. Alexey (Konstantin Khabensky), the head of one of the active firefighter groups, comes to the instructor with a request to indicate in the documents the departure of six guys, although in fact five will fly. The hero's interlocutor refuses because you can only fly out to an emergency with six people, and the rules are not made for nothing.

In reality

The scene was filmed at the Taganrog-Yuzhny airport in the Rostov region. 30 firefighters from the 6th fire and rescue squad of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Rostov region took part in the filming. They played young cadets and experienced instructors.

Olkhovo village

In the movie

The scene where a wedding is celebrated in the village of Olkhovo. Our heroes come to the celebration to ask for shovels, tools, and food. Their tent camp burned down, and they are left without equipment. The villagers are hostile, and to defuse the situation, Maxim (Tikhon Zhirnevsky) plays the guitar and sings.

In reality

The scene was filmed in sets built specifically for the filming near the village of Kinerma in Karelia. The settlement contains buildings from the 18th-19th centuries, protected as cultural heritage sites. The filmmakers wanted to show a small village imbued with the Russian spirit.
