According to the plot, the film's heroes accidentally end up in another country – our neighbor Finland. But the filming took place in Karelia, in the region of Northern Ladoga in the Gulf of Finland. The nature and landscape of those places are in no way inferior in beauty and diversity to the Finnish coast, so the audience was not at all bothered by this.

All the heartfelt conversations, toasts, debates, and life lessons take place in this remote spot on the shore, surrounded by the thick forest.

In Reality

The scene was filmed in a picturesque location near Vyborg, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. Today, on the site of the former filming location, a themed recreation center called "Kuzmich's Cordon" has been opened. Fans of the film and anyone interested can enjoy their time there.

Open Water

Scene where Two heroes find themselves in the water without a boat, but with a briefcase and in suits. Rejoicing that this happened in summer, not winter or autumn, they keep up each other's spirits and strength. However, the seagulls circling above them, according to one of the heroes, pose a serious danger.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on open water in the vast expanses of Lake Ladoga. This unique body of water, deservedly considered one of the pearls of Russia, provided the film with stunning views that perfectly underscore the atmosphere of a story about the Russian soul.

Scene where The friends decide to indulge in an extreme and exciting sport – water skiing. However, this amusement becomes even more dangerous when the boat driver falls asleep. Kuzmich, cutting through the water, tries to shout to his friend Mikhaylich.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on the Gulf of Finland. It looked dangerous not only on screen. Unfortunately, the raft with the entire film crew capsized, and the actors' lives were saved only by the resourcefulness of the lighting technician. He managed to pull the cord of the equipment, which was under high voltage, out of the water in time.
