The filming of the movie «Invasion» took place in several locations: Moscow, Budapest (Hungary), Kaliningrad, and Kamchatka. In Moscow, a special open-air pool was built for the flood scenes. One of the tense chase episodes was filmed in Orlikov Lane, and part of the chase for Yulia and Hakon was filmed on an unfinished section of the Fourth Ring Road, which was specially filled with cars. In Budapest, the main water scenes were shot in a special open-air pool on the roof of Origo Studios, where special installations helped create waves and splashes. For example, one of the final scenes of the film, which was supposed to be shot on location, was filmed in Kamchatka. The film crews covered almost ten thousand kilometers in total.

The scene was filmed near the famous building at Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, building 1 in Moscow. Almost the entire scene was recreated using computer graphics.
