The filming took place in the very heart of the capital: luxurious restaurants and bars, fashionable boutiques and office centers, noisy streets and quiet alleys — all of this created the atmosphere of a modern metropolis where the story of the main character unfolds. For example, the film crew worked in Moscow City, and later — in a restaurant on Rublyovo-Uspenskoye Highway.
Bali Island. Filming took place in the areas of Canggu, Uluwatu, and Ubud, on Pandawa and Melasti beaches. The colorful beaches, green jungles, and quiet temples of Bali created an atmosphere of calm and tranquility, contrasting with the restless life in Moscow.

The scene was filmed at Max lived at the "Ubud Hanging Gardens" hotel, Bali, Indonesia. A luxurious hotel with its own villas and pools.

Scene where Indonesian police discover a large batch of heroin in Max Andreev's house. The drugs were planted to take his house away and deport him back to Moscow, where the security forces already had certain plans for him. The embassy secretary rescues Max, returning him to Russia, but there his passport is immediately confiscated. Under the threat of reopening an old criminal case, Max is forced to turn to Roman Belkin to get a job with him, and in fact, become an informant.

The scene was filmed at Kerobokan Prison - this is where Max was imprisoned for the planted drugs. A prison located in Kerobokan, Badung Regency, on the Indonesian island of Bali. Located 4 km from the village of Canggu. As of 2017, Kerobokan Prison holds more than 1,400 male and female prisoners of various nationalities.

Scene where Maxim, the main character, meets his former lover Yulia at a charity evening after a long separation. At first, Yulia does not believe that Maxim has changed after meditations and a fruit diet. She does not believe that he could not stop loving her and cannot get her back. However, closer to the end of the film, Maxim still becomes good in Yulia's eyes, but for this he uses her connections.

The scene was filmed at the restaurant "Podmoskovnye Vechera" in Barvikha. One of the most expensive districts of Moscow and the Moscow region. The shoot at the luxurious suburban restaurant lasted until 9 am.
