The film crew shot in Russia and Mexico. It was necessary to show two different lives of two twin brothers. Mexico City became the main filming location, and the areas of famous criminal favelas gave the needed flavor to the gangster-themed scenes.

The scene was filmed in the city of Texcoco de Mora, Mexico. The national holiday Day of the Dead has become a hallmark of Mexico. The filmmakers could not resist capturing this beautiful, colorful event on screen.

Desert

In the Movie

Scene where Vasily and his brother start a fight in the desert. Around them, gangsters gather and wait for the scuffle to end. Nearby, a film crew records everything on camera. The hero addresses the head of the cartel, who has aimed a machine gun at him, saying he needs to go home to his mother.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the Chachalacas Sand Dunes, on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The dune landscapes resemble an endless desert, and from their peaks there is a stunning view of the Gulf of Mexico. The filmmakers needed to capture a secluded desert area for this scene.
