The filming of the adventure action movie began on the frozen Lake Baikal in extreme cold, with temperatures dropping to -40°C, and ended in China, where the heat reached +40°C. Suitable regions were chosen for each location in the film. Manchuria was recreated on sets in the Pskov region and near the Russian-Finnish border. Scenes involving the stations and interiors of Belogorsk were filmed in Saint Petersburg.

Filming Locations:

Railroad

In the Movie

The scene where the Trans-Siberian Express races across Russia, delivering secret documents that determine the future of the USSR and China. The train travels along a snowy track winding through dense coniferous forest. Tall fir trees, covered with a fluffy layer of snow, stretch along the rails like a wall hiding the train from the world. The frosty air thickens with steam bursting from the locomotive.

The scene was filmed in the Pskov region. This is an ideal location for filming, especially due to its natural beauty and diversity of landscapes. Snowy winters, when the forest is covered with a white blanket and the air is clean and frosty, look particularly impressive in cinematic scenes. The Governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, visited the filming location with his daughter. A special tour of the set was organized for them.

Lake

In the Movie

The scene where an old sailing boat glides swiftly across a snow-covered lake covered with smooth ice. Its white sails, slightly worn by time, seem to come alive with the help of a tailwind. It feels like someone is chasing the heroes.

The scene was filmed on Lake Baikal. This amazing and unique natural site, chosen for filming in extreme conditions of -40°C, became an incredibly striking and harsh location for the film. The magnificence of Baikal in winter, when its water surface freezes, forming cracks and ice seams, creates a truly mystical atmosphere.

Eastern Streets

In the Movie

The scene where among small houses and vaulted arches of an eastern street, the main character, played by Miloš Biković, stands opposite an elderly Chinese man. They are clearly discussing something incredibly important, judging by the tense faces of both participants in the dialogue.
