The filming of the movie, inspired by one of the brightest and most uplifting news stories of 2021, took place in Moscow, the Moscow region, and Ufa. In Ufa, the crew worked at the airport, filmed the entrance to the city, and also used iconic locations such as Lenin Street and the Chernikovka district. According to director Vitaliy Dudka, Chernikovka made a particular impression on him due to its cinematic appearance.

The scene where young photographer Roma returns to his homeland in Ufa. Immediately after landing, he calls a friend to ask if he can stay at his friend's vacant apartment. Roma doesn't want to live with his mother because it's too cramped there.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at Ufa Airport. Here, the building played itself and did a great job! The airport was an ideal filming location thanks to its modern facade and convenient surrounding area. The architecture of the building, with its large glass panels and smooth lines, created an impression of dynamism and progress, while the spacious area in front of the terminal allowed urban life to be organically integrated into the frame.

Street

In the Movie

The scene where Roma goes on a photo hunt for janitor Yura. Yura is doing completely standard things for his profession – cleaning the evening streets, pushing a cart with equipment. But Roma finds inspiration in this and makes Yura the main character in his camera lens.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on Chernikovskaya Street in the city of Ufa. Many domestic viewers were delighted to see familiar streets of the city. Ufa became an inspiration for the film's director – he saw warm, attractive features in it and gave them to us on screen.

The scene where Roma and Yura ride a vintage convertible through Moscow, enjoying life and the stunning views of the city. Yura can't contain his emotions, and a declaration of love for the capital bursts from his chest. Roma assures him that this is just the beginning of their adventures and introduction to Moscow.

In Reality

The scene was filmed right in the center of Moscow. How else could they show all the beauty of our capital? Of course, during filming they couldn't do without the magnificent view of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour — a majestic Orthodox cathedral located on the banks of the Moscow River. Its white stone walls and golden domes have become a symbol of Russia's spiritual and architectural power.
