The film «Batya 2. Grandfather» is the sequel to the film «Batya». Filming of «Batya 2. Grandfather» began at the AMEDIA film studio in Moscow. Then the work on the picture moved to the village of Kyn, located 250 kilometers from Perm. Founded in 1763, this village received the status of historical heritage in 2020 thanks to preserved architectural monuments, including the Holy Trinity Church, built in 1864. One of the film's scenes was shot near this church. In addition, the largest scene of the film was shot at the local railway station in Kyn. About 100 extras were involved in its implementation, and a retro train from the Great Patriotic War era, provided by the Sverdlovsk Railway, was also used. After completing filming in the village of Kyn, the team returned to Moscow to continue work on the film.

The scene where we see a harsh and ruthless dental procedure for tooth extraction performed by the grandfather: a string is tied to the boy's baby tooth (we hope), and the other end is attached to a motorcycle on which the grandfather sits. Quite rough, but effective and fast!

The scene was shot in the village of Kyn, located in the Lysvensky district of Perm Krai. This historic settlement, dating back to 1763, is surrounded by the picturesque nature of the Ural Mountains. The village lies on the banks of the Kyn River, which gives the area a special charm and picturesqueness. Kyn is famous for its status as a historical settlement: many unique buildings from the 18th–19th centuries have been preserved here.

The scene where a girl rushes on a bicycle, desperately pedaling, but the chain has come off, and there is no strength left in her legs to stop the movement. With a loud scream, the poor thing races downhill towards the river.

In Reality

The scene was shot near the Chusovaya River in the village of Kyn. Chusovaya is one of the most picturesque waterways of the Urals. Its winding course flows through Perm Krai and Sverdlovsk Oblast, spreading among rocky cliffs, dense forests, and green meadows. The river's waters, clear and unhurried, create a unique backdrop for any action, whether it's a leisurely boat ride or filming such dramatic scenes.
