All the main locations are in Crimea. The film crew visited many different places on the peninsula. Buratino's meeting with Alice and Basilio took place at the Baidar Gate, where Buratino met the fox Alice and the cat Basilio and listened to their story about the financial potential of the Land of Fools. The path leading to the magical land ran past the Chersonesus Bell. The Field of Miracles was played by a plot on the territory of the archaeological reserve "Tauric Chersonesus". The episode with Buratino hanging on a tree was filmed near the village of Parkovoye, with the Baidaro-Kastropol ridge visible in the background.
Individual episodes were filmed in the area of Ai-Petri, at the Yalta Glade of Fairy Tales, and in Koreiz.

Scene where Early in the morning, Buratino counted his five gold coins and ran home, planning to buy Papa Carlo a jacket and sweets. On the way, he met the fox Alice and the blind cat Basilio, who learned about his money. The fox suggested increasing the money tenfold if Buratino went with them to the Land of Fools. At first he refused, but after hearing about the magical Field of Miracles, where a tree with gold coins can be grown, he agreed and went with them. The scene was filmed at Cat Basilio and fox Alice tell Buratino about the Land of Fools at the Baidar Gate in Crimea. The Baidar Gate is a pass through the Crimean mountain range, connecting the Southern Coast of Crimea and the Baidar Valley. It is located between the mountains Chkhu-Bair and Chelebi. The memorial structure was built in the mid-19th century to commemorate the connection of Sevastopol and the Southern Coast of Crimea by a new road. The gate is designed in Roman style and decorated with monumental columns.

Scene where The fox explained that in the Land of Fools there is a magical field called the Field of Miracles. On this field, you need to dig a hole, say three times: "Crex, fex, pex," put a gold coin in the hole, cover it with earth, sprinkle salt on top, water it well, and go to sleep. In the morning, a small tree will grow from the hole, and instead of leaves, gold coins will hang on it.

The scene was filmed at Director Leonid Nechaev portrayed the Land of Fools in the film with a deserted seashore, mysterious ruins of buildings overgrown with grass, stones protruding from the ground, and a lonely bell. All this was filmed on the territory of the Tauric Chersonesus reserve. It was there that the mysterious Field of Miracles was located, where even the made-up words "crex, fex, pex" could have the power of spells. The Fog Bell, which served as the entrance to this unusual field, complemented the image created by the director.

Karabas Barabas Arrives in Town with His Theater

Scene where Karabas Barabas in a carriage, with children underneath, enters the city, and with him his entire theater. Throughout the scene, they sing a recognizable song with interesting lines: "And he is not a tormentor at all, he is simply a kind teacher." Buratino watches this and does not understand the danger that threatens him.

The street was chosen not by chance; along it stretch stone walls that fit perfectly with the overall atmosphere of the film and make the filming location generally unrecognizable.
