The film «The Incredible Adventures of Italians in Russia» was shot in two countries — Italy and the Soviet Union. Russia is represented mainly by the landscapes of Moscow and Leningrad. In Moscow, the focus is on Red Square, while Leningrad is shown in much more detail. Another key filming location was the Ulyanovsk airfield, where the landing scene of the Tu-134 aircraft was captured.

After stopping, doctors jump out and demand that the 'patients' – their own children, perfectly healthy – get out. It turns out this is just a way to get them to school on time. An unusual and effective method. But we don't recommend it.

In Reality

The scene was filmed At Rome's Piazza Navona. According to Ryazanov, the stunt had to be done in one take because the roadway was occupied by the film crew's cars, and the Italian police insisted on finishing the shoot quickly and restoring traffic.

Bridge

The scene where Our heroes race around the city in search of treasure. The treasure is supposed to be under a lion. However, Leningrad, with its numerous lions and architectural puzzles, only complicates the task. But it certainly delights the viewer's eye.

In Reality

The scene was filmed At the well-known and beloved Bank Bridge in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). The frame shows the classic stone bridge supports adorned with an elegant carved railing. Two lion statues stand at the bridge arches, adding grandeur and mystery. It's no wonder this is one of the city's iconic spots.

Highway

The scene where The legendary landing of an airplane on a highway. The brave pilot, aware of the danger, makes a decisive decision to land directly on an active roadway to save a passenger.

In Reality

The scene was filmed At the Ulyanovsk airfield, where the Tu-134 landing scene was shot. The runway was decorated to look like an ordinary highway. By order of the deputy head of the civil aviation pilot school, Ivan Tarashchan, only passenger cars driven by pilots were used in the scene.
