Most of the adventure action film «Cliffhanger» starring Sylvester Stallone was filmed in the Italian mountain system known as the Dolomites. These mountains were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site back in 2009. The Dolomites have several hiking trails open to tourists. The bridge scene was filmed at Monte Cristallo, a mountain range in the Dolomites. Some scenes were also filmed in the city of Durango, Colorado.

Hal easily crosses the rope, Sarah follows. She clips her harness to the rope and prepares to transfer. The metal clamp on the harness fails, Sarah almost slips and starts to panic.

The scene was filmed Near a rock formation called the Vajolet Towers. They are located in the picturesque province of South Tyrol in the autonomous region of Bolzano, Italy. These majestic rock formations, towering over the valleys, are known for their distinctive appearance: sharp, almost vertical peaks seem to cut through the sky, creating a dramatic and impressive landscape.

Scene where An airplane carrying millions of unmarked bills flies over the Rocky Mountains. Most of the passengers are government agents tasked with guarding the money. However, it soon becomes apparent during a confrontation that there are hijackers on board.

The scene was filmed Near Estes Park, located in Colorado, USA. This place is a small picturesque mountain town that serves as the gateway to the famous Rocky Mountain National Park. Helicopter

Scene where Gabe takes the last container of money and throws it into the helicopter blades as it falls. The helicopter somehow catches on the mountain slope, and Gabe and Qualen fight on top of the precariously positioned aircraft. Gabe manages to defeat Qualen, and the helicopter with the antagonist falls to the ground, exploding.

The scene was filmed In the Dolomites. We highly recommend visiting this region, as it has ski resorts, many hiking trails, and incredibly beautiful mountain ranges. In summer, there is an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers.
