The scene where Martyn and his older brother stand and smoke under the windows of the house, talking with a neighbor on the balcony. She asks where the younger brother Martyn came from and how long he has been 'released'. The older brother replies that it's not for long and asks her to bake them a pie for the evening.
In reality

The scene was filmed In the courtyard of a house located at 4 Tankistov Street, in the Northern microdistrict of Rybinsk. This building, typical of post-war architecture with characteristic Soviet symbols on the balcony, was used as a set for the military registration and enlistment office dormitory. According to the plot, the main character moves here after starting a new job.

The scene where While walking around the city and its surroundings, Martyn shares stories and observations from life with his brother. This time he tells him how long he can walk without getting tired with a prosthetic leg: 'Without a stick – an hour, with a stick – an hour and forty minutes.' The hero shares this quite casually and with humor.
In reality


The scene was filmed In the central city square on Sovetskaya Street in Rybinsk. There were old carousels — horses, airplanes, a chain carousel, as well as a billiard room and a summer stage. This square retained its appearance until the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now there is an amusement park in its place, so the essence of the place remains the same.

The scene where Martyn and his brother come to a restaurant. The establishment looks very pleasant – expensive dishes, white tablecloths, and beautiful background music. Here we see how hungry the soldier was during his service – Martyn eats the dish he ordered with incredible speed, while his brother, in contrast, sits calmly and watches what is happening.
In reality


The scene was filmed On the second floor of the restaurant 'Utyos', located on Krestovaya Street in the center of Rybinsk. The restaurant's interiors with a Soviet atmosphere perfectly suited to convey the spirit of the time. Now the building houses the Museum 'Literary City Rybinsk'.
