This film is not just a story about schoolchildren, their destinies, and one of the most important days in their lives, but also a kind of journey through the picturesque corners of Nizhny Novgorod. The filming took place in the summer of 2014, so the frame captures bright, green, and sunny views of the city. According to Sergey Svetlakov, the choice of location was determined by several criteria: the city had to be large, with a population of over a million, have beautiful embankments, and, of course, be in Russia. When the search engine first returned Nizhny Novgorod, there was no doubt left — its resemblance to St. Petersburg, architectural beauty, and special atmosphere made it an ideal place for filming. The film features famous city landmarks: Pokrovka Street, the area under the Metro Bridge, the city Wedding Palace, picturesque embankments, and even the monument "Kater Geroy" (Hero Boat), which appeared in one of the episodes. And thanks to the participation of local residents in crowd scenes, the film gained even more realism and vibrant urban flavor.
