Edgin hasn't seen her for over two years. However, upon arrival, they discover that Forge, who became Lord of Neverwinter with the support of the sorceress Sofina, has turned Kira against her father. Forge deceives Kira, claiming that Edgin only cared about profit, not about resurrecting her mother. Forge, in collusion with Sofina, tries to execute Edgin and Holga, but they manage to escape.

The scene was filmed at Wells Cathedral in the UK. This magnificent Gothic cathedral, with its architecture characterized by pointed arches and high ceilings, creates the impression of long corridors typical of castle interiors. The majestic appearance of the cathedral and its rich sculptural decoration give the place an atmosphere comparable to powerful castle structures. Moreover, the cathedral's rich history, dating back to the 12th century, adds a sense of antiquity and mystery to the frame. Such a location was ideal for creating an authentic atmosphere of a halfling settlement, Marlamin's homeland. The natural landscape, enhanced by computer graphics, allowed for a convincing and memorable meeting place for the heroes, seamlessly integrated into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

Scene where the Red Wizard of Thay arrives to Sofina on a boat gliding through dark waters. The boat passes under a stone bridge, whose arches are gloomily reflected in the water, creating an oppressive atmosphere. The wizard, dressed in traditional Thay robes, stands at the bow of the boat, his face hidden by a hood, exuding power and mystery. When the boat docks, Sofina meets the wizard on the shore. Their meeting takes place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and caution. They exchange brief greetings, through which a common goal and, possibly, hidden motives are felt.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the Lion Bridge, located in Alnwick. The bridge was chosen as a filming location due to its picturesqueness and unique architecture. This stone bridge with four arches was built in 1775 in a castle style. In the center of the bridge, on the eastern side, a lead figure of the Percy Lion is installed, which gives it a special charm and creates a memorable visual image. The River Aln, flowing under the bridge, complements the landscape and creates an atmosphere perfectly suited for a fantasy film, adding a sense of fairy-tale and antiquity. The choice of the Lion Bridge allowed for a convincing and atmospheric scene of the Red Wizard's arrival, seamlessly integrated into the world.
