In a small provincial town, girls from disadvantaged families begin to disappear one after another. Their bodies are found after some time, and it becomes clear that a brutal maniac is operating in the city. An experienced investigator Demidov takes on the case, which becomes personal for him — he himself has two daughters, and he cannot allow the killer to remain free. The series, based on a script by Gala Sukhanova, was filmed in the Leningrad Region and St. Petersburg. Atmospheric city streets, gloomy courtyards, and forest outskirts became ideal settings for a dark and tense detective.

The scene was filmed in the forested part of the Leningrad Region. Here, dense coniferous and deciduous forests combine, hiding not only light but also creating a sense of isolation and uncertainty. The local forests are often crisscrossed with narrow paths, interspersed with patches of moss and lichen, adding even more of a wild nature feel. Dense thickets and intertwining trees often obstruct visibility, creating hidden spaces where unobvious details or elements of the investigation can easily be concealed.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the abandoned children's health camp "Lastochka" (Swallow), located in the Leningrad Region. It is an unkempt and gloomy area covered with dense forests and swamps. Old wooden buildings, partially destroyed by time and weather, stand under a layer of lichen and moss.
