Svaty are the parents of the groom and bride in relation to each other, as well as a popular comedy series. The first season, consisting of two episodes, was filmed in Kyiv. For the second and third seasons, the film crew worked in the Kyiv region, where they rented a house from a local forester — it became the on-screen home of the Budko family. The fourth season, set in Yalta and Turkey, was filmed in real locations. The frame features the famous Artek camp, the Yalta embankment, the Miskhor – Ai-Petri cable car, and the Livadia Palace. Several episodes of the fourth season were also filmed in a resort town in Greece.

The scene where the Kovalyovs come to the Budko home to help Zhenya prepare for school. However, Ivan and Valya are not thrilled by the sudden visit of the in-laws and decide to arrange a tough survival test in rural realities for the city guests!

In Reality

The scene was filmed on the outskirts of the village of Horenka near Kyiv. This is where filming took place until 2012. Although according to the plot, Ivan and Valentina live in the village of Kuchuhury, real settlements with that name were not used for filming. This rural house once belonged to a forestry, and in 2019 it suffered a severe fire that destroyed half of the building. The cause of the fire was faulty wiring, but fortunately, there were no casualties. In 2020, the house was restored, and during the renovation, new elements appeared — a staircase and a porch that were not in the original episodes of the series.

The scene where upon the invitation of Masha and Maxim, the in-laws go to Turkey. Finding themselves in a luxurious five-star hotel, they experience genuine delight. The spacious halls, exquisite interiors, and attentive service amaze them. They marvel at the richness of the decor, admiring the sparkling chandeliers and soft sofas in the lobby. The staff greets them with a smile, offering all kinds of amenities.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the luxurious five-star hotel "Nirvana Dolce Vita", located in the picturesque area of Tekirova near Kemer. This hotel is right on the Mediterranean coast and has a private beach 630 meters long. The spacious grounds, magnificent views, and high level of service make it an ideal place for relaxation and filming. Interestingly, the famous characters Gena and Vovan from the comedy show "Nasha Russia" previously vacationed here.

The scene where upon arriving in Greece, the in-laws face an unexpected problem — their luggage has been sent elsewhere. As a result, Valya has to stay in the room because her only outfit is in the wash and just won't dry.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the hotel "Mitsis Royal Mare", located in the cozy village of Anissaras on the island of Crete. This resort, which tourists call one of the most romantic on the island, became the main location. The frame features spacious rooms, well-kept gardens, and picturesque Greek nature. Against the backdrop of these landscapes, scenes involving the main characters – Ivan Stepanovich, Valentina Petrovna, Yuri Anatolievich, Olga Nikolaevna, and Zhenechka – unfolded. And some viewers were even lucky enough to become part of the filming process if they were at the hotel during that period.
